According to ICAO standards, key certification center (KCC) is designed to form, issue and further service personal keys and open key certificates, also met the ICAO standards for provision of fixed time.
In more detail:
Issued by such KCC keys allow persons, who ordered then, got these keys, to lay electronic digital signature on documents, in such way confirming information integrity, which is stored in them.
Keys certification center carry out following functions:
- collecting applications for issue of electronic digital signatures (EDS);
- privet keys generation and certificates formation:
- formation of certificate revocation list (CRL);
- posting revoked and issued certificates on KCC website;
- check of public keys certificates status;
- formation of time-stamp of issued certificates creation;
- issue of privet keys and certificates;
- compatibility with Public key directory (PKD) ICAO.
